Help Identify Potholes in Wentzville
The most severe winter weather in recent years has caused many potholes on Wentzville roads. While we expect to see issues with potholes around this time of the year, this winter there have been more than usual. Potholes form when water soaks into the pavement, then freezes and expands as temperatures change. Wentzville Street Department staff members are working hard to repair potholes across the City, particularly on highly-traveled roads. Pothole repair work is done when ambient temperatures are near or above freezing so that the patch material is pliable and stays in place. Please remember, some roads within Wentzville city limits are maintained by MoDOT or St. Charles County, rather than the City, these include: highways A, Z and N; Interstate 70 and I-70 outer roads; Wilmer Road and Hepperman Road; and highways 40/61 and 64.
We need your help to identify potholes around town. To submit a pothole concern, simply send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please provide a nearby address or intersection in your email. (Please do not identify locations in the comments below, as an email will be necessary to ensure we can track the concerns/repairs in our system.) Thank you for your help to keep City roads safe!
