Police Canine

Another asset to the department, division of Field Operations, is K-9, "Jester". He began his career with the Wentzville Police Department February 7, 1998 and is a two year old German Shepherd. He was born in Czech Republic and trained in Evansville, Indiana. "Jester" is certified in narcotics detection, criminal apprehension, and tracking. "Jester" and his handler (Sergeant Jim Lloyd) placed in the top 50 at the National K-9 Trials September 1998.
