Come out to Progress Park and put your "useless" trivia knowledge to the test! There will be 10 rounds of questions, including categories such as Disney, current events, sports, history, etc. There will also be a 50/50 raffle. Light snacks and beverages will be provided. Proceeds from this event will benefit Friends of theWentzville Park and the Wentzville Sea Dragons Swim Team. Friends of Wentzville Paks, a 501c3, provides WE P.L.A.Y scholarships to Wentzville's children. WE P.L.A.Y. scholarships allow youth access to recreation regardless of their ability to pay. The Wentzville Sea Dragons Swim Team was established in 1985 and is a part of the St. Charles county Summer Swim League. The team, which is made up of 5-18 year olds, meets and practices at Wentzville's Progress Park and other pools in St. Charles County. Must be 21 or older to attend.

Bunny Run 5K & Fun Run
Get ready for egg hunting with The Bunny Run 5K and One-Mile Fun Run! Put on your speed enhancing bunny ears and tie up your laces to race around Rotary Park before the Easter EGGstravaganza. These two fun family events include face painters for the kids, a visit from the Easter Bunny, post-race food and drinks, a chocolate bunny for all participants, as well as overall and age-group awards. If you find an Easter egg along the way, be sure to pick it up for a possible surprise at the finish! Costume contest for team, best male and best female (judging at 7:15A).
The winners of the 5K run in each of the following age groups will receive awards: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older. The top three overall males and females will also receive awards, but they will not be awarded the plaque for winning their age group. Every participant in the 5K/One-Mile Fun Run will receive bunny ears and a chocolate bunny! The first 100 5K entrants will also receive a custom race T-shirt.

Your dog will bark for bones! All kinds of dog treats and bones will be hidden for your furry friends. Your dog will be allowed to try to find as many goodies as possible. Dogs must remain on leashes at all times. Don't forget to bring a basket to put your treats in! After the hunting ends, each dog will receive a "doggie bag" to take home. We will also draw for door prizes. Dogs and their owners may roam around in the park after the event and take advantage of our trail, which is a little over a mile in length and loops around the lake.

Hippity hop, Easter's on its way! The Easter Bunny has been filling thousands of eggs with candy and prizes for the annual Easter EGGstravaganza. Some eggs will contain a slip of paper for prizes. Don't forget your basket to collect all your goodies. Children will be grouped according to their age. Children may move up to older age groups, but not down to younger age groups. Come early and enjoy face painting and games. Registration in advance is $3/child.The day of the event it is $5. You must have your ticket on the day of the event to hunt. Don't miss this EGGciting event!

MISSION: Clean Stream & GM Earth Day Festival
On Saturday, April 2, 2016 meet at Rotary Park, 2577 W. Meyer Rd. at 8:30 am for site assignments. The cleanup is from 9-11 a.m.
Join hundreds of volunteers to help restore Peruque and Dry Branch Creeks. These bodies of water are important to the health of our community and support a variety of wildlife, recreation, and land uses. Register as an individual, family or organization (ages 6 and up) by calling (636) 332-9236. After the clean up, volunteers are invited back to Rotary Park for a light lunch.
- Register early—this event fills fast!
- Volunteers need to provide their own transportation to sites.
- Dress for the weather. Bring gloves, water bottle, and sturdy shoes or boots—no flip-flops or sandals.
- Trash is messy! Long pants and insect repellent are recommended.

GM Earth Day Festival at Rotary Park
Get outside, enjoy live music, nature walks, the Living History Company, kids’ activities and Stream Trash Art. The festival runs in tandem with M:CS from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Community Lake opens up for this special event--you can canoe and kayak paddle with certified trainers! Drop by Parks and Recreation Arbor Days booth for recycled art kids crafts, activities and free tree seedlings for resident card holders. All ages are welcome, so tell your friends!

Over 150 volunteers made a difference in our community by joining thousands across St. Charles County to remove trash from creeks and streets. Here's what they collectively accomplished in just two hours:

Spring Citywide Yard Sale
Clear your home of unwanted items by selling them at Wentzville's annual Spring Yard Sale or enjoy a fun shopping expedition by hunting down the best bargains! For $6 you can list your sale. Each sale will receive an official City Yard Sale sign. Shoppers may purchase booklets beginning April 27th at City Hall, Progress Park or in the Utility Service Center drive-thru for $2. Each booklet includes a map to help you locate the bargains!

July 4th Parade and Liberty Fest
Don't miss the annual 4th of July parade! It begins at 10:00 AM, starting at Hold High School and travels east on Pearce Boulevard, ending at Luektenhaus Boulevard. Everyone is invited to participate in the parade by making or designing a float. This year's theme is All Star Salute to the USA. Floats will be judged for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, along with Mayor's Choice for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Float registration is required. Please call the Parks and Recreation Department at (636)332-3296 to register or for more information. After the parade, head over to Progress Park for FREE activities!
